Belford Street, Peterlee

At Northumbrian Water looking after the environment and reducing the risk of flooding are two of our top priorities. As part of this commitment we want to make you aware of some sewerage network investigations in your area. We intend to carry out a study of the area to identify a potential solution to help protect the environment and ensure that our sewer network continues to serve the community effectively.

Update by Becky Gartland

Good afternoon,

Just a quick update on how our reinstatements are going on site.

The site team have laid the topsoil between Belford Street and Kilburn Drive along with an area that has been block paved to the west of Kilburn Drive.

Further ground works will be carried out to the rear of business units on Kilburn Drive over the rest of this week.

Wildflower seeding is planned to take place week commencing 4th April in the embankment area adjacent to Belford Street.

This will be followed by final tarmac reinstatements week commencing 11th April.

As always, if you have any queries regarding our work, please get in touch with us.
