Durham City Sewer Network Improvements

We are planning work to improve the performance of the sewer network in Durham City and improve your environment.

Update by Sarah Jayne Vickers

Good afternoon, another working week complete and we are halfway through June.

We wrote to several residents earlier this week about a planned road closure up on Whinney Hill, near the Persimmon development site. Good news is that after careful consideration on maintaining the traffic flow we have decided to continue with 2-way traffic lights on Whinney Hill.

Due to this change and the terrible weather conditions the past few days, this work is now scheduled to happen Week Commencing 22nd June and not the 15th June as previously stated.

There will still however be a road closure on Illingworth Grove for up to 3 weeks, there is an alternative access to the estate. We will update you prior to closing of Illingworth Grove on here.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to comment below and one of the project team will contact you.

Once again, we would like to thank you for you continued patience and support.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, despite the weather!
