Embleton Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing over £3 million to improve storm and biological treatment at Embleton sewage treatment works to meet the demands of an increasing population in the Embleton catchment. Our sewage treatment works aid NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

Good afternnon everyone, i hope you are well

I just thought id give you a brief update as to the sites progress as its been a busy couple of weeks since my last update.

  • Works to the MCC (motor control centre) continue with the new handrail installed on top of the retaining wall
  • We have now installed the new precast retaining wall to the skip handling area and are now constructing the adjacent leg to the remaining area.
  • Works continue around the site installing new infrastructure for ducting & drainage.
