Forrest Park

We are investing over £1,000,000 to improve and extend the sewer network in Aycliffe to support Durham County Council’s ongoing Forrest Park development.

Update by Paul Davison

Hi,
Just a quick update. The power supply for the new pumping station is proving to be problematic and as a result, there hasn’t been much progress to report in the past few weeks.  We are hopeful that the power supply will be energised later this month which will allow us to commission the new station, abandoned the old pumping station, demobilise and complete final reinstatement / landscaping.
Elsewhere, we are currently investigating and repairing localised footpath settlement along St Andrews way between Heighington Lane and 3M factory access. This section of footpath will be closed while we complete the footpath repairs and pedestrians diverted to the west side of St Andrews Way.
