Project updates

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Good afternoon Everyone, it's been some time since my last post, where we were nearing the end of our project just before Christmas. You will have noticed our team left the area a couple of weeks ago, and letters confirming our departure should be with you this week.

As predicted we finished the project on time and to plan, and since our departure Redcar and Cleveland Council have been and completed the final reinstatements at the junction of Guisborough Road and Beverley Road. Our final week onsite involved us prepping the new car parking spaces in the car park of St Marys Hall, Redcar and Cleveland Council came and laid the tarmac.  This was part of giving back to the community we have caused some minor interruptions to deliver the project. We will need to return in Spring to do the top soil and seed next to the car park, if we laid it now the weather would stop it from taking effect.

Throughout the lifecycle of this project there has always been a strong sense of Community and we fully got on board with that by making several contributions for the communities’ events such as the Kids fun day in Summer, The Remembrance Sunday Memorial and the over 65s Christmas lunch and not forgetting the coffee morning we organised at St Marys Hall. That morning gave me a smile from ear to ear, hearing all the wonderful comments made by everyone.

I’m sure all the guys we had on site will agreed it's been a wonderful project to work on and the residents have made it more pleasurable to work on giving them tea, coffee and cakes to keep them going.

From me and all our team Thank You! I have included below some of the photos I have collected along the way 😊

Good afternoon all, Firstly I would like to thank everyone who come down to our coffee morning on Friday. It was great to hear some of the amazing feedback and your first hand experiences of how we have conducted ourselves whilst in your area. A couple of people asked me about the reinstatements and how we will be leaving the part of Guisborough Road/Beverley Road. In agreement with Redcar Cleveland Council (RCC), we will reinstate temporarily, for RCC to come in the near future to carry out the final reinstatements. We don't have the dates on when this work will be carried out by RCC.

Thanks

Sarah MMB

Good afternoon All, a quick reminder we have a Christmas Coffee Morning on Friday the 14th December at 11:30 am till 2pm.

This is to thank all of the residents for their patience and co-operation whist we have carried out the work.

The project is in the final stages and we thought how best to celebrate this, than to invite the residents for Coffee, Cake and a natter. It would be fantastic to see you there, and for you to give any feedback (positive or negative), as well as providing support to eat all of the cakes!

We look forward to seeing you.

Thanks

Good afternoon, as you will all be aware Christmas is fast approaching, with only 32 sleeps. With that in mind Northumbrian Water and Mott Macdonald Bentley are introducing Saturday working this weekend (8am Start), to ensure we are off Guisborough Road in time for the holidays. Between now and Christmas we potentially will be working a number of Saturdays, if so i will notify you on here each week.

As our project is in the final stages we have arranged a coffee morning at St Mary's Church Hall, on Morton Carr Lane Friday 14th December. This will start at 11:30 am till 2pm and we would love it if you came along to have a cuppa, mince pie and natter with us. We will have the project team there to answer any questions, and welcome any feedback you have in relation to the work we have carried out. The letters will be posted out over the coming weeks.

As always we appreciate your understanding and patience as we carry out these improvements in you area.

Good morning all, as you should all be aware by now, the resurfacing of Guisborough Road is due to start on Monday. This will start from outside the school up to Gyspy Lane, the plan is for this part of the road to be complete by the end of Tuesday. I have added the plans below detailing the road closure and the diversion that will be put in place. Please note towards the back end of the 6 weeks closure there will be some one way lights to allow us to connect all the new pipework at the junction of Beverley Road and Guisborough Road.

Road Diversion 2nd Part - One way lights

As always if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Good afternoon everyone, thought it would be a good time to update you on the project.

Good progress has been made this month along York Road, and the temporary tarmac reinstatements are ongoing along York Road. I have included below some pictures of the work over the last month.

Due to the current rate of progress we are expecting to close Beverley Road on Monday 29th or Tuesday 30th October, approx.  1 week earlier than intended and will inform you if this changes.

As you may be aware the Redcar Council and Middlesbrough Council are planning on resurfacing the Roads in line with the half term holidays. We will be working together to minimise any disruption to the residents.

As always if you have any questions send them through via the 'contact us' on this page.

Enjoy your weekend!

Should you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us, via the portal or ask the guys on site who will be more than happy to assist.
