Heads Hope Dene, Co. Durham

This project is to reduce the risk of pollution to Head Hope Dene. A range of solutions are being investigated to reduce the risk of pollution caused by flooding from the sewer due to blockages, and land slip. Construction is programmed for 2021/22.

Update by Gabrielle Ward

Although the recent weather has been against us, work is still continuing to progress well on site.

The shaft segment installation is on-going, since our last update we now have five layers of segments in place.

We have completed the enabling works for the gravity sewer, and the top soil has now been stripped back ready for the Rising Main easement (see photo here).

We now have a community board located on the public footpath near site which shows the locations of our new sewer line and pumping station along with some information on the work.

If you have any questions, as always please feel free to leave a comment below. We are always happy to help!
