GENERAL PROJECT

Killingworth & Longbenton

Together with our project partners, the Environment Agency and North Tyneside Council, we are investing over £5 million to manage surface water in the Killingworth and Longbenton areas of North Tyneside. The work is to be completed in 3 phases; Longbenton High School and Benton Green & Cemetery, Forest Hall & Killingworth Moor and finally Killingworth Lake. Phase 1 and 2 are now completed and the work will be starting at Killingworth Lake in Summer 2018.

Update by Lynn Preston

Hi

Following Christine's update, I thought it would be great to update everyone now.

We will be holding a drop-in session on 30th May between 11.30am and 7pm.

We will have our Northumbrian Water mobile comms vehicle set up in the car park at Killingworth Lake where you can come along and view the latest plans for the works following the last meeting we held back in October.

There will be represetatives from Northumbrian Water, North Tyneside Council and the Environment Agency around during the day to answer your questions.

Visitors to the session will also be entitled to a coffee and cake from the Coffee Hut next door, so why not drop by and see what is planned!

Hope to see you there.

Lynn
