Murton (Berwick) Water Treatment Works Upgrade

As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are planning to extend and improve the existing Water Treatment Works at Murton, near Berwick. It is intended that the new works will be located adjacent to the existing buildings. The construction is expected to start late in 2018 or early in 2019.

Morning All

Just a quick up date.......

This week there will be a change in the visuals on site............deliveries of pipework will continue, so more vehicle movement, the mounds of soil in certain areas will also be moved. We will expecting a sub-contractor to install the cable for the site mains connection so the generator can be removed before Easter.

The treatment building is currently undertaking some radical changes, all internal and underground (they will not affect your water supply) however the external work has been conducted by open cut which has saved time on the programme.

In preparation of some planned steel work booked in for 20th May, we have decided to extend our working day a little..... 0700hrs-1830hrs starting this week so you will see us later than normal.

I hope to get some photos soon so watch this space and don't forget any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
