Murton (Berwick) Water Treatment Works Upgrade

As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are planning to extend and improve the existing Water Treatment Works at Murton, near Berwick. It is intended that the new works will be located adjacent to the existing buildings. The main construction work commenced in late 2018 and is due to complete in September 2020.

Just a quick update, I'm sure you may have seen movement over the weekend on site.

We and our colleagues at Northumbrian Water were conducting some commissioning work. Working a weekend isn't the normal for us but we are all striving to get this project pushed on the finish line before the Christmas time. There is still some snagging and some technical tasks to complete so we haven't quite made it yet, but I'll keep you informed.
