Murton Flooding

Together with our supply partner, ESH-MWH, we have undertaken a detailed study of the sewer network to establish the cause of flooding in the area. We want to keep you informed about our investigations and work we are considering in the Woods Terrace area.

Update by David Player

Good Morning

We are still working very hard to complete the connection works into the street, the trenchless section has encountered numerous issues that we hope to overcome in the next few days. When we have installed the pipework we plan to build new manholes in the road before Christmas so the road can be reopened temporally during the Christmas break.

Elsewhere on the site the recent rain has hindered our progress. We hope to install the field drainage by the end of he week and start to reinstate the field. When this is complete we will re open the cycle lane.

In recent weeks we also helped out the local school by removing a pond that had fallen into disrepair. The school have been really pleased with the result, so well done to those involved.

Many thanks
