Starting in February 2024, as part of a £4.3 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance of our New Moors wastewater treatment works in Evenwood Gate. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of Hummer Beck, as well as the watercourses downstream.

Hello,
Civil works at New Moors is now nearing completion with the new delivery road being the last major civil milestone remaining.
Site will now be concentrating on the mechanical and electrical installations; these have begun and are approximately 50% complete. The first chemical delivery will be taken next month and commissioning will commence.
