Killingworth Road - wall repair

We are working hard to repair the wall on Killingworth Road - we will use this page to provide updates about the repair and also the work required to clean up and reinstate the affected area.

Good afternoon,

It's that time again, time for an update.

Adam, as always has been prompt with him information, which we would like to share.

Progress for this week:

  • Approx. 80-85% of casings expected to be drilled/installed by close of play Friday
  • Pile  case drilling expected to be complete by Friday 1st October, with the rebar and concreting process to follow on
  • Pilers encountering the hard rock at a depth of approx. 1.3m deep, with a band of extremely hard rock lower down
  • ESH ops continuing to clear arisings from pile operation

Planned works for next week:

  • Roger Bulivant to continue with pile casing installation
  • The Esh gang in attendance to piles.
  • Esh to continue with remove of arisings from pile operations

The team are looking to commence pile cap works in mid October.
