We are working together with the community to reduce the risk of future flooding in areas of Ovingham through our Rainwise initiative.

Update by Simon Bright

The swale is taking shape nicely above the playing fields. The earthworks gang will start replacing the topsoil tomorrow and hopefully have all of the soil back on by the middle of next week.

The drainage gang are constructing a manhole in the playing fields for the surface water outlet which will substantially be complete this week. They'll be closing Piper Road on Monday to make a connection to the existing system next week. The road will be closed for 5 days.
