We are working together with the community to reduce the risk of future flooding in areas of Ovingham through our Rainwise initiative.

Update by Ian Davison

Good afternoon everyone.

Apologies I have not been in touch for a while, I hope you are enjoying this lovely sunny weather, it’s a lot warmer than this time last week.

As you know the surface water management work in the Piper Road playing fields (Esh Construction) and Pipers hole (Karbon Homes) was completed back in November. Before leaving the site wild flower and grass seed was sown, additional trees were planted and remedial works undertaken on the willow wind shelters. In recent months the grass has started to establish, in the coming weeks the landscaper will return to site to inspect the site, re-seed any bare patches, undertake a maintenance cut of the grassed areas and complete the outstanding fencing works.

We continue to work towards the implementation of the Dean Garth solution and will be back in touch when the construction start date is agreed

Best Wishes
