Update by Ian Davison
Hi everyone
I hope you all remain well, and please accept my apologises as it’s been a while since I was last in touch. I would like to update you on our progress over the last couple of months.
Over the summer period the design consultants have be working hard to finalise the surface water management proposal for the village. It will be my pleasure to get together with the community to talk with you about the work we are planning as part of our Rainwise initiative.
Northumbrian Water and Northumberland County Council continue to work together, we plan to invest up to £900,000 on the sewer flood risk reduction / Surface Water Management project. We hope to commence on Monday 16 October 2017 and aim to complete late April 2018.
You are invited to find out more about the project and to have your say at a drop-in session on Thursday 28 September 2017 at Ovingham Reading Room, West Road, NE42 6BW, between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.
We have posted out an invitation letter to all of the residents in the village. The letter will provide a little more information and should be landing on door mats at some point next week.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions about this project. You can leave your comments on this update or by ringing our customer centre on 0345 717 1100, one of the project team will return your call.
Have a great weekend and I look forwards to chatting with you on the 28th.
Ian
