We are investing up to £9 million to improve Butterknowle, Cockfield and Ramshaw sewage treatment works. Start Date – January 2019 End Date – December 2019 Project activity A further drop-in event will be held in the next few months where customers will get a chance to talk with our project team about any concerns or questions they may have. The details of this will be confirmed via letter and posted to this community portal. Prior to the events we will add drawings and photographs of similar works to this community portal to aid your understanding of the proposed works. Hello everyone, update below from Martin Curtis-Haigh our Interserve Project Manager:

Hi

It’s been a really eventful week at Cockfield stw. We successfully installed the new deep bed cleaning filter.  This is all part of the new process we are installing to achieve better water quality entering the rivers. Chemical dosing equipment will be following in the next few weeks.
