GENERAL PROJECT

Rookery Gardens, Rushyford

Northumbrian Water, alongside Mott MacDonald Bentley, are working to improve the sewer network in Rushyford, Ferryhill.

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Good morning All, Paul Davison and I were in the area yesterday hand delivering letters and visiting properties around Rookery Gardens. We managed to speak to many residents, and we would like to thank you for your time.

Work will begin on Monday 30 September 2019 and we expect to be complete by Friday 20 December 2019.

As previously discussed, while a road closure will not be required to carry out this work, we will need to temporarily close the footpath on both sides of the street at the entrance to Rookery Gardens. This is required to allow sufficient room to maintain vehicular access to your property. For the duration of the works, the alternative pedestrian access to Rookery Gardens will be via the existing designated crossing on Middridge Road.

As promised, we will be parking our Customer Engagement Vehicle at the entrance to Rookery Gardens on Wednesday 18 September 2019 between 3.00pm and 7.00pm and would like to invite you to join our project team again to discuss the scheme in more detail.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your input, patience and understanding while we’ve completed our additional investigation work and please be assured that we’ll do everything we can to reduce disruption during our construction work.

As always if you have any concerns you wish to discuss please don't hesitate to leave us a comment below or use the ‘contact us’ option at the top of the page.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!

Thanks

Sarah Vickers
