Roseberry Crescent, Great Ayton Flood Alleviation

We are working with the community to explore opportunities to reduce the risk of flooding. The proposed works are located along Roseberry Crescent, Roseberry Road, Roseberry Avenue, Wheatlands and Newton Road, Great Ayton and within the site which forms part of the estate of Cleveland Lodge. The proposed works involve the installation of approximately 1300m of surface water and foul water sewer for the purpose of flood alleviation. Proposed works are also to involve the construction of a SuDS basin for surface water attenuation.

Update by Steve Boyd (Project Manager)

Hi everyone,

Works within the grounds of Cleveland Lodge are progressing reasonably well and to programme, the new drainage network installation as well as the construction of the new SUDs (Detention) basin are now complete, with the exception of cultivating/seeding/fencing operations which are to be carried out over the forth coming weeks, this should enable the seed to take/establish during the growing season.

Drainage installation works within the grassed verge adjacent to Farm Garth have been a little slower than anticipated due to the restricted working area for plant and machinery  movement as well as working carefully around existing services, although we are now almost ready to commence excavation and drainage installation works within Roseberry Crescent itself on Tuesday 7th May 19. working towards the junction of Wheatland Avenue, we apologise for the disruption in this area, and appreciate your patience as we carry out this essential upgrading of the existing drainage network.

Attached are a few photo's of progress so far, thank you.

Steve and Darren.
