Rothbury STW Upgrade

This investment at Rothbury sewage treatment works is to improve storm storage and biological treatment to meet the demands of an increasing population in the catchment of Rothbury. Our sewage treatment works aids NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

Good Afternoon,

I hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine over the last couple of days. 

Since my last update, the site team have been busy with the installation of the Primary Settlement Tanks (PST) 1 & 2. You can see in the photos below how they look now that the wall units are standing tall. The pipework from the PSTs to the Pumping Station, Distrubution Chamber and Draw Pit are also almost complete. 

Over the next couple of weeks both Primary Settlement Tanks steel work will be installed and the concrete will be poured internally.
