Working with our framework partners, Esh-Stantec, Northumbrian water will be carrying out work to replace a failing pumping main from Sharpness Point Pumping Station to Percy Park, Tynemouth.
Typical working hours would be Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm.
We have no plans to disrupt your water supply while we work this project. In the unlikely event that the team accidently disrupts the water supply, our clean water response team will be notified immediately and emergency repairs planned.
Construction will cause some disruption but our Framework Partners will aim to minimise this where possible.
We do not envisage restricting access to properties.
We will provide updates online via the Community Portal, letters and through ward councillors.
No, our Framework Partners will manage construction to ensure that the public are protected from the hazard associated with constructing a new pipeline.
Northumbrian Water commit to returning the land to its previous condition, although it may take time for grass areas to re-establish.
These are all things that the construction will generate but Esh-Stantec will minimise these where possible so that residents are not impacted.
Esh-Stantec will manage keeping the roads clean during construction and this may include wheel washes and/or road sweepers depending on the conditions on site.
We do not envisage restricting residents from parking at their properties.
