GENERAL PROJECT

Sherburn Upgrade

Starting in 2022, as part of a £12.9 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance and flexibility of our wastewater network and wastewater treatment works in the Pittington and Sherburn areas of County Durham. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of the Coalford and Sherburn Becks, as well as the watercourses downstream. We are yet to confirm an exact date when the works will commence, however once we do we will contact you to ensure you’re kept informed and made aware of any possible disruption.

Update by Gabrielle Ward

Hello,

Just following on from Amanda and Dean's introductions, I thought I would come on, say hello and introduce myself.

My name is Gaby Ward, I am the Customer Liaison Officer for MMB working along side Northumbrian Water's Customer Care Manager, Amanda Hunt. We will be conducting the engagement with our customers and posting regular updates on here.

I had the pleasure of meeting some of you over the last couple of weeks at our two customer events. Thank you to everyone who came along, myself and the team thorougly enjoyed meeting you.

We have now added the drawings we had on display at the customer events onto the portal. Please follow the links below to view them.

You can find out more information about this, and how you can get involved with volunteering for Wear Rivers Trust here.

In the mean time, please feel free to ask us any questions you may have by leaving a comment below, and a member of our project team will get back to you. You can also get in touch via the "contact" link at the top of the page.
