Stokesley and Great Ayton

We are investing £3.3 million to improve the performance of our wastewater treatment works in Stokesley and Great Ayton. We plan to begin this scheme in August 2018 and expect it will take up to 12 months to complete. This scheme will help to improve the water quality of the River Leven. Our partner, Interserve Construction Limited, will be carrying out this work on our behalf. Upgrades to the existing treatment works as well as the construction of new equipment at the two sites will be carried out. The construction works at both sites will be within the existing site boundaries, which are securely fenced off and our working hours are between 7.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Construction traffic will need to access to the works from the A172 and A173, as a result, there will be a higher volume of site traffic when vehicles transport materials to and from the site. We will add drawings and photographs of similar works to this community portal to aid your understanding of the proposed works. We will also use the community portal to provide regular updates on the progress of the works once they commence. We would really like to hear any comments or questions you may have, so please get in touch using the 'Contact us' button at the top of the page or leave a comment below.
