GENERAL PROJECT

Blyth - Bates Avenue (Tallie Drive, Blyth)

We are planning work on the sewer network to reduce the risk of flooding and improve the performance of the sewers in Blyth.

Update by Christopher Bond

Hi, further to my update in November about the work we plan to undertake to improve the performance of the sewer network, we have completed our ground-level site investigations and now we now need to collect further information. This will involve excavating several trial pits on Crawford Street.

The trial pits are required to locate buried critical services. Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) Our Framework Partners will carry the work out on our behalf in early February and take approximately ten working days to complete.

Those houses that directly face the proposed trial pits will soon receive a letter with further details.

Please be assured that our site teams are adhering to government guidance regarding covid-19. Where the nature of the work does not allow for social distancing, we will ensure the relevant Personal Protective Equipment is worn, and hygiene practices are followed.
