Blyth - Bates Avenue (Tallie Drive, Blyth)

We are planning work on the sewer network to reduce the risk of flooding and improve the performance of the sewers in Blyth.

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Good morning,

Following on from Chris’s update, I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I am Sarah Jayne Parvin, Customer Liaison Officer for J N Bentley, and I will take care of all customer enquiries during the project. You will notice I will be blogging on here keeping you up to date with our progress throughout.

We aren’t starting the project until later in the year. Still, we do have some investigation work planned to begin on the 8th February for 10 working days to help us identify underground services in the area. This will consist of five trial pits along Bates Avenue (Crawford Street) within the footpaths and highway. The two situated in the highway, the first one will be approximately outside of 19-21 Bates Avenue and the other to the side of Sheehan Court. I have added below a google map with the approximate locations. The Red ones represent in the highway and blue in the footpath or private land.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask by adding a comment below, or use the ‘contact us’ at the top of the page to email the project team.
