Tyneside Water Main Cleaning

Our water mains cleaning programme of works has been ongoing now for five years and to date, we have achieved 221km of cleaning works to our mains. There are a number of pipe sections that we still need to clean, with a total length of 9.0km. We are starting this work in August 2018 and anticipate completion in the Apri 2021.

Good Morning,

As you know we (MMB) have currently be working on City Road as part of this project and we have introduced a road closure along a short section at Sallyport Crescent. The lane closure is at the north end of the Forster Street/City Road junction and a diversion around Pandon Bank, Melbourne Street, BuxtoStreet and Gibson Street, due to operational restraints MMB will need to extend our presence at this location until 5 July 2019.
