Tyneside Water Main Cleaning

Our water mains cleaning programme of works has been ongoing now for five years and to date, we have achieved 221km of cleaning works to our mains. There are a number of pipe sections that we still need to clean, with a total length of 9.0km. We are starting this work in August 2018 and anticipate completion in the Summer 2019.

Update by Joan Tatters

Good Morning

I just thought I would show you some photos of us doing some community work in the Dene by Denton Road yesterday. We had a great day, some of the site team, our office staff, Northumbrian Water colleagues and Newcastle City Council staff, even the local councillor joined us as we all  "got down and dirty".

It was a tough day, but we all enjoyed it, we exposed a old entrance to the dene..... relayered a walk way and replaced & recycled some walking boards/area. A few local residents and their dogs were walking through at the time and were so pleased to see a "squad" of people taking time and interest in preserving a beautiful area of Newcastle.

Here are a couple of photos, I will attach somemore later.

Hope you a lovely weekend and this lovely weather.
