Update by Kevin McGargle
Good Afternoon
Just a brief update with regards our works on Great Lime Road Killingworth as follows:-
1. Today we have completed the seperation of the trunk main from the local water supply network at the Traffic lights of Great Lime Road/ Forest Hall Road, this being a planned isolation and loss of supply for a short duration, we will be completing the wearing course tomorrow morning. this will leave Norther Powergrid to complete their works repairing the Electric mains fault (not asscoiated with ourselves), we have however made use of the Traffic management provided by Norther Powergrid to keep disruption to a minimum and save seperate Traffic management visits, this being planned some weeks ago.
2. Yesterday we installed the line stop to the water main opposite the wheatsheaf pub allowing us to cut and cap the local water supply from the abandoned Trunk main this afternoon, we are now targetting to be reinstated complete in this area as of Monday 19th July 2019.
Our next planned work location is on the 29th of July 2019, this is outside of Woodlands Grange adjacent Great Lime Road to disconnect the local supply from the abandoned Trunk main.
I will update you further as the works proceed.
Kind Regards
Kevin McGargle - SIte Manager
