EEL PROTECTION SCHEME

Eels Regulations (2009) Compliance Project

We will be and are currently upgrading the following works to install new screens that are compliant with the Eels Regs 2009. Lumley WTW - (Works here are now complete), Blackwell RWPS - (Works here are now complete), Warkworth WTW - (we are also installing new pumps at the river water intake) , and Broken Scar WTW. The new screens will also improve the resilience of the works and protect the water supplies for our customers for many years to come

Good Morning,

This "Eels" blog is really guided to those residents who live in the Warkworth area where, we have been working for some time now. I did mention previously how we would be exchanging and replacing some pumps over the coming months; apologies for the late notice as tomorrow is one of those times!

Peter will be up there at site, early doors around 7ish to guide in the crane required to lift out the old and place in the new pump, it will be just a days work so if you happen to be out and about (as it is a beautiful area) please be that more vigilant.

One more pump after this one, and I will let you know when, thank you again for your patience.
