Update by Phillip Thornberry

Hi Everyone, I`m Phillip Thornberry and my role in this project is sponsor, I`m sponsoring this batch of work that makes up our compliance with the Eel regulation right across the region.

As a resident, employee and river user I`m really proud of this project as it provides tangible benefits to our communities – not only will Eels be saved but also fish and other aquatic life helping to balance the eco system for all of us.

One of the first sites for the new eel compliant screens is Lumley WTW intake, over the last month the construction team have made great progress and as shown in the photo you can now see the support steel work being erected on site.
