Whitton Village Sewer Diversion

Northumbrian Water is looking to investing £2M to improve the resilience and enhance the performance of the sewer network in Whitton Village Northumberland.

Update by Ian Davison

I hope you all remain well.

As you know, work started in May 2020 on a project to ensure that our sewer network continues to serve the Whitton community effectively. You may have seen the contractor tidying up the site over recent weeks and I am pleased to advise that the construction work is now complete. The highways have been reinstated, the temporary compound removed with the feild cultivated and sown, it will remain fenced off until the grass establishes. The working areas in the fields between Whitton and Murray Gardens have also been cultivated, seeded and these areas will remained fenced off as it will take time for the grass to fully establish. I appreciate your understanding while nature to takes its course, we will continue to monitor these areas over the coming months.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your patience and support throughout these construction works.

Kind Regards
