Wooler Water Treatment Works

As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are constructing a new Water Treatment Works (WTW) at Wooler, Northumberland. The new WTW is located in the town of Wooler, at a site opposite Berwick Road Industrial Estate . The main construction phase commenced in summer 2020 and was substantially completed in autumn 2021. Final commissioning to bring the new WTW into service is currently scheduled to run through until autumn 2022.

Hi everyone

A brief update to let you know that our planning application was submitted earlier in the summer and is currently being reviewed by Northumberland County Council. The planning application is due to be determined by November 2019. Once we have the necessary planning and other approvals in place we will finalise our designs and confirm our construction programme for 2020.
