Wooler Water Treatment Works

As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are constructing a new Water Treatment Works (WTW) at Wooler, Northumberland. The new WTW is located in the town of Wooler, at a site opposite Berwick Road Industrial Estate . The main construction phase commenced in summer 2020 and was substantially completed in autumn 2021. Final commissioning to bring the new WTW into service is currently scheduled to run through until autumn 2022.

Morning All,

Just a short but sweet update......

  • The potable water main installation went ahead last week so the the traffic lights were removed as promised on Friday.
  • The team are currently installing pipe work.
  • Next week there will be some piling work starting for approximately one week.

I'm off on holiday for two weeks later this week so I will catch up with you all on my return however, any news/progress my colleague Sarah will keep you in the loop.
