As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are planning to construct a new Water Treatment Works (WTW) at Wooler, Northumberland. It is intended that the new WTW will be located in the town of Wooler, at a site opposite Berwick Road Industrial Estate . The construction is expected to start in spring 2020.

Update by Joan Tatters

Good Afternoon All,

Just back from holiday and I am amazed the progress Gary and the team have made.

The contact tank installation has gone really well and we have worked really well with the contractor and all went to plan, next week we will install the wall units with the mobile crane and we will be pouring concrete and will tie in the base slab reinforcement.

Preparation work for the treatment building will continue predominantly the drainage pipe work and excavate the cable pit.

Next week from Wednesday (19th) we will introduce two way traffic lights on the B6525 a little further north to remove the road signs and we will change the road markings. (only for a couple of days)

I will be up there on Monday so if you see me please feel free to ask me personally if you see me (social distancing of course) about the project or send me a message.
