As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are constructing a new Water Treatment Works (WTW) at Wooler, Northumberland. The new WTW is located in the town of Wooler, at a site opposite Berwick Road Industrial Estate . The main construction phase commenced in summer 2020 and was substantially completed in autumn 2021. Final commissioning to bring the new WTW into service is currently scheduled to run through until autumn 2022.

Update by Joan Tatters

Good Afternoon,

This week you may notice the team are working near to and within the farmers field adjacent to the site, the local farmer kindly agreed for us to use part of the land for storage as the pipe works progress. A huge THANK YOU from us.

There are some planned excavations into the industrial estate this week however it's likely to be the latter end of the week, I will of course confirm later.

Just a gentle reminder once again about the 2 way traffic lights please be that little more vigilant.

Thanks again for your co-operation
