Wooler Water Treatment Works

As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are constructing a new Water Treatment Works (WTW) at Wooler, Northumberland. The new WTW is located in the town of Wooler, at a site opposite Berwick Road Industrial Estate . The main construction phase commenced in summer 2020 and was substantially completed in autumn 2021. Final commissioning to bring the new WTW into service is currently scheduled to run through until autumn 2022.

Update by Joan Tatters

Hello,

Just to let you know of the change of entrance to the site, we need to remove the temporary arrangement now.

The local council was out yesterday checking everything was in place and correct for the highway standards so we are good to go. Tarmacing will take place Thursday and Friday this week which means the traffic lights will remain for a little while longer.

Watch out for the steel work for the new building being erected later this week too, I will of course keep you posted.

I am out and about today if you want to say hello!
