Project updates

Update by Ian Davison

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend

Apologies for not being in touch for a while, I would like to update you on our progress since February. The project has been subject to further technical and financial scrutiny, funding is secured and the design work commenced as planned in April.

As I mentioned in my last update we have identified several service clashes with the proposed sewer alignment. The team continues to work closely with Hartlepool Water, Northern Gas Networks and National Power Grid and have agreed the diversionary requirements. We are currently working on procuring these works which must be undertaken in advance of the sewer installation. We continue to work towards a late June construction start date however as the programming of the diversions is yet to be agreed there is risk that this may result in a delayed start. I will keep you informed of any programme changes as we progress through the design stage

Hi everyone I hope you are well. I would like to update you on our progress since the Christmas break

The definition stage of this project is drawing to a close. The trial hole and ground investigation work is complete. The trial holes have identified several service clashes with the proposed sewer , we are currently investigating diversion options and seeking quotations. There is a major clash with a Hartlepool Water Main on Miers Avenue, approximately 100m of the water main may need to be diverted. These works would be undertaken in advance of the sewer installation.

The detail design work is planned to commence in early April and we are working towards starting construction in June. The project is subject to further technical and financial scrutiny and funding for the project remains subject to approval at the end of the detail design stage. I will of course keep you up to date as the scheme progresses.

We are keen to continue to engage with the local community seeking your views and addressing any concerns as the project develops. Please leave your comments on this update or get in touch using the “Contact us” button at the top of the page. Alternatively if you would like to contact me by telepnone, now or during the work, please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 717 1100 to request a call back from the Project Team. I hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks

Good Morning

Just thought I would touch base with you.

We recognise these ground investigations have been active for a while now and we have made every effort to minimise the disruption during the works and hope it hasn't been too much of an inconvenience for you all.

Disappointingly we encountered some vandalism during the work; the traffic management lighting and barriers were damaged and we found cones in some residents gardens, please accept our apologies for this unforeseen costly mess.

That aside, our ground investigations are coming to an end and all being well we are planning to be off site by the end of the week. Darren and his team we would like to thank you for your patience as we do appreciate it has been disruptive at times.

We at MMB would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for 2017.

HI I hope you are all well, I wrote to you in September, seeking your views about the flood risk reduction project we are proposing in the Arkley Crescent vicinity.

Design work is underway in preparation for this project and Northumbrian Water continues to work closely with Hartlepool Borough Council as the solution develops. Trial holes are required to establish the location and level of the existing services within the highway. The plan, posted at the Planned Work tab, identifies the proposed trail hole locations. This work will commence on Monday 21st November and will involve the use of machinery to excavate a shallow inspection trench within the road to expose and record buried utility cables and pipelines. Traffic management will be required and the highway will be fully reinstated upon completion. Footpaths will remain open and pedestrian access will be maintained to your property at all times.

The site team will do everything they can to minimise any inconvenience caused by this and will make sure that the work is carried out safely. This work may last up to 5 weeks and will be undertaken by ARM Pipetek.

Employees of Northumbrian Water or ARM Pipetek will not require access into your home at any time during the work.

If you require any further information or advice, now or during the work, please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 717 1100.  We will be pleased to help.

Regards

Ian
