NIDP FLOODING PROJECT

Corbridge, Riding Mill and Stocksfield

We are currently undertaking a Stage Two Northumbria Integrated Drainage Partnership (NIDP) study in your area.

Update by Loren Jennings

Good morning.

My name is Loren Jennings and I am a project manager at Northumbrian Water.  I'm assisting Elaine with this project, and I wanted to give you an update.

Before our lives were interrupted by Covid, we did manage to complete the Stage 1 which identified areas of integrated flood risk.  This means there was risk of flooding from not just sewers or drains, but also watercourses or surface water runoff.  The areas we will be advancing into Stage 2 are:

  • Ridingmill Burn (Riding Mill)
  • Stocksfield Burn (Stocksfield)

If you live in these areas and wanted to share your experiences with flooding, or just give us information which could help our study, it would be very welcome.  You can also ask me questions here by replying to this update!
