GENERAL PROJECT

Grassholme Reservoir Safety

Together with our supply partners Esh Stantec we plan to carry out essential maintenance and improvement works to Grassholme reservoir over the next three years. These works are needed to ensure the resilience of the reservoir and improve its surrounding environment. During the work we will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum and ensure residents and users of the reservoir area are not unduly inconvenienced. Good afternoon all, just a quick update from me ahead of the festive shutdown.

Previously we’ve mentioned that the kern stones and railings which are still on site are unable to be reused so in the new year we’re planning to remove them and store them safely offsite while we look to use/reallocate them elsewhere.

The reservoir, beach and fishing platform will be closed to the public throughout the Christmas break and our supply partners will return to work on Monday 4 January 2021.

We’ll be back in touch in the new year to provide you with a further update on the programme of works for the remainder of the project and in the meantime stay safe and have a peaceful Christmas and New Year.
