GENERAL PROJECT

Grassholme Reservoir Safety

Together with our supply partners Esh Stantec we plan to carry out essential maintenance and improvement works to Grassholme reservoir over the next three years. These works are needed to ensure the resilience of the reservoir and improve its surrounding environment. During the work we will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum and ensure residents and users of the reservoir area are not unduly inconvenienced.   • Legato concrete blocks are being installed into Reservoir Embankment for long term stability
  • The drainage works and filling operations being undertaken to rear of Legato Blocks 
  • Materials being screened on Borrow Pit Area to process further selected materials for use as suitable backfill on Reservoir Embankment. 
  • Translocation of existing trees to new planting area of Northern Embankment
