Grassholme Reservoir Safety

Together with our supply partners Esh Stantec we plan to carry out essential maintenance and improvement works to Grassholme reservoir over the next three years. These works are needed to ensure the resilience of the reservoir and improve its surrounding environment. During the work we will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum and ensure residents and users of the reservoir area are not unduly inconvenienced. Site have sent an update and some photos of their progress at Grassholme Reservoir.

Carl Beck bed Area has been prepared for the supply and installation of impermeable membrane. Then the membrane will be fitted beneath realigned stream location in front of Legato Blocks. The stream is currently flowing through a temporary diversion pipe until works are further advance
They have stripped the “Ancient Woodland” topsoil. The topsoil has been transported to agreed location on site for temporary storage. It will then be re-used after stabilisation of reservoir embankment works are completed.
