Update by Dave Eden
Afternoon All.
Time for a Hexham STW Refurb update:
We've completed the 'Dry' commissioning to prove all the new inlet works kit is operating. Unfortunately there's been a slight hiccup with the communication testing between site and the NWL network, so we'll have to have another attempt in a few days, once the issue is ironed out.
All the footpaths around the new inlet works are complete and we've just about done with the landdrains and landscaping.
The new steel access platform to the filters is in place but needs some adjustment to the retractable ladders before it can be completed.
The welding in the inlet screens tank should be complete in the next day or two and, providing a good water test, we can push on with the 'wet' commissioning and bringing the new inlet works into full operation. 'Wet' commissioniong is still planned for Monday 28th which will involve test all the new equipment under real waste water flows.
The change over to the new 'intelligent' pumps in the settled sewage pumping station is underway and should be complete in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks
Dave Eden
