North Billingham

We are investigating flooding in North Billingham from surface water and searching for sustainable local solutions with the aim of reducing the impact.

Update by Janine Rillands

Good morning everyone!

We're spending the day at Billingham market place today to talk to you all about our Rainwise initiative. We want as many of you as possible to get involved, so we'll be sharing with you tips and advice on how to make small changes around your home that will help you to become Rainwise and reduce the risk of flooding. We also want to hear about your flooding stories or any problems you have with surface water in the area - that local knowledge is really important to us to make sure that we are getting the right, accurate information in order to explore potential opportunities for future flood reduction projects.

The sky isn't that blue today, but our community vehicle Flo is! So come down and say hello, we're looking forward to talking with you all! You can meet myself and Project Manager Peter, who will be collating all your information. Don't forget, if you can't make it down today, you can always share your stories right here on the portal. Just comment on this update, or get in touch using the contact button :)
