Slaley WINEP P & Improvements

As part of the Water Industry National Environmental Programme (WINEP), we will be installing a new chemical dosing plant (electro coagulation) and replacing parts of the existing treatment process to enable the site to meet the forthcoming phosphorous discharge consent of 0.7 mg/l, which will apply from December 2024. The improvement works will cost £5M and is one of 27 sites within the NWG region to receive this upgrade. Phosphorous is a nutrient and can cause algae to grow in watercourses, reducing biodiversity and river water quality.

I hope we are not causing too much disruption and we thank you for your patience, if you have any questions or concerns please leave a comment below or use the details provided to contact us and a member of the team will get back to you.
