WINEP Durham Transfer

As part of an £10 million scheme, Northumbrian Water will be carrying out essential works to improve the performance and flexibility of our wastewater network and wastewater treatment works in the Plawsworth, Pity Me and Brasside areas of County Durham. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of the Blackdene Burn for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife and ensure that critical wastewater assets continue to serve the community effectively.

Hello everyone,

In the last week the team have excavated and installed ducts and drawpits for MCC kiosk and generator slabs within Plawsworth STW and Pity STW.

Topsoil reinstatement is now complete between Plawsworth STW and Rotary Way, with rotavating and seeding to follow. Reinstatement of works within other areas have also begun including Chester Low Road.
