WINEP Durham Transfer

As part of an £10 million scheme, Northumbrian Water will be carrying out essential works to improve the performance and flexibility of our wastewater network and wastewater treatment works in the Plawsworth, Pity Me and Brasside areas of County Durham. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of the Blackdene Burn for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife and ensure that critical wastewater assets continue to serve the community effectively.

Can you believe the weather, hope everyone is wrapping up warm.

This week the team and our contractor Retroflo have been continuing with cabling to various chambers and the MCC kiosk within Plawsworth and Pity Me Sewerage Treatment works. The insulation wrapping of external pipework at the valve chamber base including telecoms to the control building is complete.

ESH have been drilling and dowelling exiting concrete slabs ready for the reinforced concrete reinstatement with Northumbrian Water facilities. Installation of the steel sleeve is complete to allow insertion of the gravity sewer.
