Arkley Crescent, Hartlepool

We are working with communities to proactively manage flood risk. We’ve identified a flood risk reduction opportunity in the Arkley Crescent and would welcome your views.

Planned work

The outline proposal will reduce flood risk at Arkley Crescent and Atkinson Court. The notional solution comprises the provision of some new sewer and the upsizing of the existing network in Bruce Crescent, Miers Avenue, Arkley Crescent and West View Road. We plan to construct an underground storage tank in the playing fields to the rear of the changing facilities.

The new sewers will be constructed by excavating a series of trenches to install the new pipe or upsize the existing pipe. The contractor is likely to be working in roughly 50 metre sections of carriageway at a time and a phased road closure is likely to be required during this work. We would notify you in advance of the work if you will be directly affected.
