Good afternoon.

I am sorry that it's been a long time since I've given you an update on this project, so please accept my apologies.

Like many things in life, this project has run into some delays due Covid and the restrictions which this has caused.  The positive thing is that engineering studies of flood risk is something that can be continued, even when working from home rather than the office.  The downside, though, is that has become harder to do survey work such as measuring pipes or surveying water courses.  It is really important that we do this accurately so that our study results are as robust a possible.

I will provide a further update once we have confirmed the areas of flood risk we are looking at, and what we would hope to build in those locations.  You can also ask me questions here by replying to this update!

Good morning.  My name is Loren and I am the project manager for our strategic study in Bowburn.

I wanted to let everyone know that in the coming weeks we will have surveyors out in Bowburn, mostly in the area of Bowburn Beck.  By physically surveying and modeling the watercourse, we can make better predictions about how it interacts with the networks of sewers and highway drains under your streets.  This will really help us better understand the causes of flooding within your community.
