GENERAL PROJECT

Burnhope Reservoir

Together with our supply partners Esh Stantec we plan to carry out operational maintenance works to Burnhope Reservoir, adjacent Wear Valley Water Treatment Works, this year. These works are needed to ensure the resilience of the reservoir. The work at Burnhope Reservoir, which has a project value of more than £1.8M is planned to start in July 2022.

Update by Rachel Rutter

Good afternoon

The team have successfully carried out the repair works at the top of the reservoir, in time before water levels have reached the maximum spill level, they closely monitored the weather pattern along with the rising reservoir levels during the works.

The temporary compound and cabin set up has now been cleared, to allow the public access to this section of car park.

If anyone would like to discuss our works in more detail, please feel free to contact us by commenting on this post or sending an email to nwl.customer@esh.uk.com.

Thank you

Rachel
