GENERAL PROJECT

Castle Hill Farm Cottages

An application has been submitted under Section 101A of the Water Industry Act 1991 for provision of a public sewer for premises at Castle Hills Farm Cottages, Berwick. The application complies with the requirement criteria, Northumbrian Water plan to undertake works to reduce the environmental risk improve the resilience and enhance the performance of the sewerage network serving the residents of Berwick. This project aids NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters, the environment and wildlife for the benefit of our customers.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I am Ian Davison a Northumbrian Water Project Manager and I will be looking after this scheme through to its completion. The scheme will be delivered by Northumbrian Water’s delivery partner Esh/Stantec. 

For up to 8 months commencing in the Spring of 2021 we will be carrying out construction works in the vicinity of Castle Hill Farm Cottages to improve the existing system and reduce the risk to the environment. Please note that access to properties will be maintained throughout.

As the project develops I will keep you informed about our plans and progress by sharing our proposals with you on this portal. I am very interested to understand your views.
