Update by Bethany Oakley
Good Morning,
Following Brian’s update, I would like to introduce the MMB team working on the Eppleby project. I’m Bethany Oakley, your Customer Liaison Officer. Our team includes Keith Love our Site Manager, Jack Guss Site Engineer, and Tom Mann, our Designer.
We arrived in Eppleby on Monday, and over the next 4-6 weeks, we will be preparing for our work.
So far we have set up our temporary cabin and delivered the necessary plant equipment (20t excavator, 5t excavator, roller, and dumper). We are also installing stock-proof fencing in the field where our compound is located.
Here’s what you can expect in the coming weeks:
Topsoil Stripping: We will strip the topsoil in our compound area and lay stone in preparation for the cabin installation on August 5th.
Access Track Improvement: We will enhance the access track into the site by installing type 1 stone and road plainings on top of the existing road.
Humus settlement tank (HST) Excavation Preparation: We will reduce dig the areas to allow better access for the HST excavation, which will be a 7m x 7m x 6m deep excavation.
HST Delivery: Scheduled for August 19th.
Important Notice
All our new assets will be confined to the existing sewage treatment works. However, we will be temporarily accessing the site from Caldwell Road, past the Cross Keys Inn, so you may notice an increase in vehicle movements around the village.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment below, and a member of the project team will get back to you. I will post another update in the next month or so.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
